chipboard coaster Friend gift

Sorry about the bad pic,,camera wn't cooperae..Ok, still trying to get the hang of all this while busy doing classes, and creating.. I love chipboard and todays blog is just a simple 4X4 chipboard coaster that I transformed into a hanging gift for a friendI covered it with retired Tea Time DSP and used stamp from Flowering Blooms. The flower is a Stampin'UP 5 petal flower punch and the little guys are the trio flower punch. I embossed the flower paper than sanded it to make it pop. I love the colors and can't wait to give it to one of my best friends at her Stampin' Up party. Hope you like what ya see, and want to get out there and make something for someone special today:)

chipboard queens kingdom

Ok, so I like chipboard:) It really is just some thicker material to play with. I love the 3 dimensions it adds to cards and scrap pages, but also love how you can cut it to be any word you want than scrap as a great gift or album for your self. These pics are of some of the books I have done. I can do any name or almost any emblem you could think of into some sort of book... Since starting Stampin'UP I have been challenged to look beyond the "regular" things I do and stretch myself to try new things.. Love the challenge, miss the ones I have sold, and love that each one is totally different.. Have a happy stamping day:)

Missing the Man (My Cowboy Papa)

Today I am not thinking of paper, ink, and stamps... Today is reserved for thoughts of one of the greatest man in my life. My precious Papa.. I had my grandpapa for 37 years, and I know I am very fortunate to have him that long.. The memories are endless, the visual thoughts of ice cream, cowboy hats and fast rides in his car run through my thoughts and dreams. I have said my goodbyes but his memory and legacy continue in all my families lives. He was a godly man who never met a stranger, and the years I watched him usher at his church I realized he was "Jesus" with skin on. He loved and he loved well. Now, he may not have always been that way, but God did a work on him, and he grew into the man God wanted him to be. I was in an accident to years ago, and had to stay at their house for 3 weeks while I underwent physical therapy. He was also there to make sure I didn't fall, and would tuck me in and tell me how sorry he was that I was in so much pain. He would let me leave his house without washing my car windows, and to this day I tease Dale that "Grandpa wouldn't let me leave with all those bugs on my window.." He was a good man, maybe a great man, but most of all he was a saved man. A man that God welcomed with open arms, and said "We'll done thou good and faithful servant" . I can only strive to love God and others as he did, and I was always comforted by the thought that he and grandma prayed every morning for all of us.. He will be missed and I can't wait for the day I get to hug him again!!!

Trying something new.

Well ,, here it is!! My first blog entry.. Nothing fancy just trying to get the hang of it.. So many stampers and scrappers now use this medium to get their stuff out there.. I guess I'm guilty like the rest:) I don't always like to try new things, but I usually like them after I just do them:)

So for now I'm just showing off stuff I've made, learned ,and sold in hope that I can keep learning stuff and keep playing with my toys..

So get out there, and make something cute, fun, and fast for someone you love!!
